The Port of Brisbane Entry structure was designed to identify the entry and departure point to the Brisbane port. The blue waves logo on one side of the pylon sign signifies floating water when heading by road toward the port. On the other side is the appearance of rusted steel to show the relationship between the cargo ships and containers which have been delivered by sea and await their destination on land.
The construction comprises painted FC sheets and rusted steel panels. The solid-looking form represents the entry to a robust industry precinct.
