ML Design were commissioned in 2001 to analyse the existing land use situation and respond to the client’s vision for an integrated and vibrant island, realising Sentosa’s full potential as a major tourism drawcard for Singapore. The master plan involves the upgrading of Sentosa Island, with a 12-year redevelopment strategy including year-by-year infrastructure and development projects, including a new monorail connecting to the mainland MRT line, two underground car parking structures, transit facilities, new attractions and a range of tourist accommodation opportunities.
