Bevan Lynch

Executive Chairman

As the founding Principal since the firm’s inception in 1987, Bevan Lynch has played a key role in building ML Design’s reputation for innovation, quality and dependability.

Throughout his career, Bevan has worked on a wide range of architectural projects. In particular, he has extensive experience in the design and development of major retail complexes, commercial office buildings and master planned communities.

Today at ML Design, Bevan as Executive Chairman, leads the growth of the firm into national and international markets, and remains actively involved in major CBD and master planning projects. He is committed to the continuing development of ML Design and its people, and their responsiveness to new design challenges.

Since 2006, Bevan has been Chair of Brisbane City Council's Independent Design Advisory Panel which provides real world peer advice on the design quality and appropriateness of Development Applciations and Neighbourhood Planning Policies and Guidelines that contribute to Brisbane's identity and subtropical lifestyle.

In this capacity, he has also been a member of the Urban Futures Brisbane Board which plays a key role in shaping the future of the city by delivering strategic independent advice to Council.

In March 2010, Bevan was appointed to the role of Urban Futures Brisbane Board Chair, which coincides with the expansion of the Chair's role to become a Consultant to Council, directly responsible for the delivery of significant urban planning projects.
