Stewart Handasyde

Director

Stewart joined ML Design in 1998 as a Director. He has since that time been the principal designer of commercial, multi residential, Government and major leisure projects for the company. Residential and Lifestyle projects include the Inverloch Broadbeach Resort, the Azola Waters Retirement Villages at Pakenham and Cowes and Sophias apartments in Bourke Road, Camberwell. Government Infrastructure projects include the AEW&C facilities at RAAF Williamtown for the Department of Defence and Immigration Detention facilities at Christmas Island, Villawood and Brisbane. Major Sports and Leisure projects include the National Tennis Stadium at Qatar, DISC – the Darebin International Sports Centre, a multi-use sports facility including a major indoor velodrome and venue for the 2006 Commonwealth Games Lawn Bowls competition. Other sporting projects include major regional Aquatic Centers at Richmond, Leongatha, Granville and Bairnsdale. Stewart regularly consults to the Victorian Government on the provision of new sporting infrastructure throughout the state.

Prior to joining ML Design Stewart was responsible for the design of many sports and aquatic projects throughout Australia.
